Revenue Sources & Article Processing Charge (APC)
Revenue sources
AL-MAQĀṢID: The International Journal of Maqāṣid Studies and Advanced Islamic Research (E-ISSN: 2735-1149) is funded through the following source(s):
- Article Processing Charges (APC) paid by authors or their institutions upon acceptance
The journal does not charge readers, libraries, or institutions any fee for access. No revenue is derived from advertising placed alongside editorial content.
Article Processing Charge
An APC of RM650 is payable by the author, institution, or funder upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication, following the peer review process described in the journal's Peer Review Policy. There is no charge for manuscript submission or for peer review itself — the APC is invoiced only after a decision to accept has been made.
What the APC covers
The APC supports the costs of manuscript processing, peer review coordination, copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration, long-term digital archiving, and open access hosting, ensuring the published article is freely and permanently available to all readers at no cost.
Payment timing and refunds
The APC is invoiced only after editorial acceptance. No payment is requested before a final decision. We practice a no-refund policy if a paper is later withdrawn post-acceptance.
Currency and payment method
Payments are accepted via bank transfer / online payment gateway. Full payment details are provided at the time of invoicing.
